The Landscape Charter: Tool for Intermunicipal Development. This publication, targeted at policy-makers, outlines strategies and plans for developing inter-municipal projects to protect the environment. The first part is dedicated to understanding what a landscape is, as well as its role in development and inter-municipality. The second part is about identifying and understanding the nature of a given environemental situation. The third part is about designing, organizing and implementing a project for the future of the landscape. The fourth and final part is about developing an effective charter for managing the landscape and committing to that charter. The book uses six different ecosystems around France (including four major natural parks and the surrounding communities) to exemplify its proposals. Key terms.
